Why did you choose financial planning as your profession?

It is more accurate to say that financial planning found me. It began as a family vocation, one that my dad has carried out with grace for decades. Slowly, and through various forms of service, I have been transformed by this business and by the direct impact we have on people's lives. It is no exaggeration to say that the conversations, difficulties, outcomes, friendships, disappointments, and developments in my client relationships have profoundly changed my everyday life. I am proud to say that this work is inextricably linked to everything I do. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of this important journey.

What do you think are the most important steps people can take to improve their financial well-being?

The most important step toward achieving a healthy financial future may sound easier than it actually is; be honest with yourself. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of decisions that can influence the lifestyle you currently have compared to the one you desire. All these decisions should be grounded in self-reflection. Ask yourself questions like, "What do I care about?" and "What areas do I struggle with?" This type of thoughtful exploration can help clarify the best path to successful outcomes. Embrace your current situation instead of pursuing someone else’s ideals. This approach will make the entire process much more rewarding.

What are you a fan of? This could include sports teams, bands, schools, or other interests.

Born and raised around the city, I am a huge fan of all the local sports franchises. Regrettably, this includes our Pirates. I am also an alumnus of Penn State University who supports all the athletic programs.

Musically, I listen to as much as I can from every genre. My favorite group when anyone asks is Daft Punk. I play guitar with a local group and enjoy the privilege of playing out for friends and family.

What causes or community organizations are important to you?

Local charities have always been a priority for my wife and me. We focus on children's charities, human rights organizations, climate advocacy groups, water conservation efforts, and animal welfare initiatives.
